Welcome to our Home Page

Wirral Parent Partnership is an information, support and advice service for parents/carers of children with special educational needs and professionals working to support those needs.

Through a variety of activities the WPPS works closely with parents/carers, schools, the LA, local support services and voluntary organisations to increase parental understanding of special educational needs to enable parents/carers to become more involved in discussions relating to their children's educational development.

We may be able to help you if:

• You think your child needs extra help at school
• Your child is at risk of exclusion due to his/her behaviour
• She/he has a Statement of Educational Needs already.
• You would like your child's needs to be formally assessed.
• You are attending a school review meeting

Please telephone us if you think we can be of help of if there is any information you would like about the service. Alternatively browse through our web site for information about other support groups, training/workshop sessions and the new Code of Practice.

We are here to assist all parents/carers of children/young persons with special educational needs.

Opening Hours:

The office is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. We recommend visits are made by telephone appointment. We do hold a drop-in coffee morning on Friday morning from 10.00 a.m. - 12 noon during term time at Birkenhead Shopmobility Centre, 5 St. John Street, Birkenhead, close to the big carpark.
